9UY4-H system, Providence region. On the 26th of June, at 18:00 EVE Standard Time, forces belonging to Providence Bloc clashed once more with Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] in the system, leading to a ruinous defeat.
[NC] forces had deployed Sovereignty Blockade Units in the system, in an attempt to provoke a fight from Providence Bloc. This worked, as Providence Bloc organized an Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet, estimated at 120 pilots.
The force arrived in the system and worked on removing Sovereignty Blockade Units from the gates, managing to destroy one before [NC] forces showed, bridging a Tempest Fleet Issue Battleship fleet into the 4B-NQN system next door, estimated at 60 pilots with Triage Carrier support.
The [NC] force jumped into the 9UY4-H system, the Triage Archons de-cloaking first before the rest of the fleet. The [NC] fleet however, was greeted by Providence Bloc, who had reports on it and already prepared in advance on the gate.
The battle started with Providence Bloc managing to volley off a couple of Battleships before the [NC] fleet could anchor up properly. Once it did, it managed to stabilize, the Triage Carriers doing their job properly.
In contrast, the Providence Bloc fleet was hemorrhaging ships. An attempt to warp off the field and back at zero on the [NC] fleet in order perhaps, to get below the Battleships guns and negating their tracking, miserably failed - Resulting in slaughter.
Quickly, the Isthar fleet decided to warp across the system, forcing the much slower Battleships to give chase, at the same time a Stealth Bomber wing was working diligently to remove one of the Sovereignty Blockade Units, thus securing the system.
To aid in buying time, Interdcitors kept the Triage Carriers under interdiction probes, sacrificing ships to force them to stay in place. Since the Triage Carriers were the backbone of the Logistics team of the [NC] fleet, this delayed their attempts to re-engage.
Managing to destroy the second Sovereignty Blockade Unit and thus secure the system, Providence Bloc retreated, conceding the field to [NC]. Thus, [NC] forces returned to the 4B-NQN gate in order to guard their last remaining Sovereignty Blockade Unit.
However, this was not the end of hostilities for the night, as the Providence Bloc fleet reshipped to Naga Battlecruisers and returned to the field. A second battle flared up, with Providence Bloc warping to the [NC] fleet on the 4B-NQN gate in close range an opening fire, managing to volley off Battleships but trading many Naga Battlecruisers in return.
As damage output decreased due to losses, Providence Bloc was unable to break the tank of the Battleships and once more retreated, leaving the field for [NC] to hold. Having gotten the fight they wished for, [NC] forces extracted safely, ending hostilities for the night.
Battle report for the 9UY4-H system can be found here.
The battle lasted nearly an hour, with the system hosting less than 300 pilots in local and Time Dilation not reported as a major issue.
Providence Bloc lost 84 ships including 29 Battlecruisers and 24 Isthars for a total of 12.38 Bil ISK. [NC] lost 13 ships including 4 Battleships for a total of 2.45 Bil ISK.
Providence Bloc managed to secure the system, its strategic objective, but at a cost. [NC], on the other hand, got the fight it wished for and managed to hold the field.
As the two entities continue to fight, it remains to be seen how this war concludes. The EVE Scribe will keep you up to date on developments.

News: Northern Coalition(dot) Black Ops Fleet Ambushed in 9UY4-H
9UY4-H system, Providence region. On the 12th of June, 16:00 EVE Standard Time, a Black Ops fleet belonging to Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] was tackled by Providence Bloc, forcing [NC] to bring their Super Carriers once more in order to extract it.
The battle started when Providence Bloc assembled a 20 pilot Hawk Assault Frigate gang on a Titan, looking for targets to drop on around the region. At the same time, an [NC] Black Ops gang of 13 Battleships and an Archon Carrier were looking for targets in the region as well. [NC] has been using its Black Ops fleets during the entirety of their deployment, with mixed results.
The two sides met on the 4B-NQN gate in the 9UY4-H system, when the Providence Bloc bait ship pointed, and was pointed by the [NC] hunter ship. Both ships quickly lit cynosural beacons and the two fleets jumped in and immediately clashed on the gate.
It soon became apparent that Providence Bloc could not hope to break through the remote repairs of the Carrier, especially with what it had on field. A call was made for reinforcements as well as reshipping, while Interdictors kept the [NC] fleet tackled, Providence Bloc losing ships all the while attempting to hold points.
The [NC] force managed to jump to the 4B-NQN system, but was once more tackled by the Interdictors. This gave Providence Bloc ample time to bring a more suitable force, of 50 pilots in a Naga Battlecruiser fleet. The force managed to destroy 4 Black Ops Battleships, though losing a few ships in return, before [NC] managed to jump in 7 Super Carriers to save the rest of their fleet. The Archon presumably was unable to hold remote repairers working due to capacitor issues. as in no point was it reported in Triage mode.
Once the Super Carriers were on the field, the [NC] fleet warped out to a safe tower they had in the system, leaving Providence Bloc to loot the field.
Fidelas Constans [FCON] were present in the start and the end of the exchange, bringing a 30 pilot Harpy Assault Frigate fleet, but seemed to have contributed very little. They did prioritize [NC] over Providence Bloc, and once the former retreated, disengaged without incident.
Battle report for the 4B-NQN system can be found here.
The system saw less than 100 pilots during the fight with no Time Dilation reported. The engagement from start to end lasted 30 minutes.
Providence Bloc lost 39 ships and nearly 4 Bil ISK in damages, while [NC] lost only 11 ships, but 4 of which were Black Ops Battleships, for 8.4 Bil ISK of damage. [FCON] lost 13 ships, for a total of 0.5 Bil ISK.
While this may not end [NC]'s Black Ops campaign in the region, it may cause a few of its participants to think twice before jumping to what may be an unsuspecting target, or a trap ready to be sprung.

News: Fighting Continues in Providence as Y-MPWL Station Is Reinforced
9UY4-H system, Providence Bloc. On the 11th of May, 20:00 EVE Standard Time, Providence Bloc forces clashed with Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] once more in the system.
Providence Bloc brought around 160 pilots, split between a main fleet comprised of Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruisers, Goku Bombers and a Caracal Cruiser gang.
[NC] brought a Tempest Fleet Issue Battleship fleet, approximately 90 pilots strong with Triage Carrier support.
Providence Bloc was en route to the Y-MPWL system, where the station was reinforced a few days before by [NC]. As they were traveling to the system, scouts reported [NC]'s fleet had already bridged into the system, thus beating them there. Unwilling to take the [NC] force head on, yet wanting to secure the station, Providence Bloc decided to hold in the 9UY4-H system, and hopefully divert [NC]'s attention.
To do so, they hit upon a tower which was brought in by [NC] and anchored in the system. At the same time, Interdictors were stationed on the gates in the systems between 9UY4-H and Y-MPWL to slow [NC]'s movement.
As [NC] forces received notifications of what was happening, it was already too late, burning slowly to 9UY4-H, stalled by the Interdictors, they arrived after the tower was already reinforced. At the same time, a detachment of Tech I Logistic Cruisers was sent via the jump bridge network to repair the station.
However, before Providence Bloc could extract their fleets safely from 9UY4-H they were caught at the U-HYMT gate, where [NC] Interdictors prepared drag bubbles in advance, as they had a spy on the Providence Bloc fleet feeding them information.
The [NC] fleet landed just as the Providence Bloc Ishtars burned off the gate and a quick exchange started, with the Ishtars volleying off Battleships, and at the same time the Tempest Fleet Issues melting Ishtars in rapid succession.
After a few more minutes of brutal skirmishing, with the Ishtar fleet unable to break the Tempest Fleet Issues' tank as its drones were being destroyed, and losing ships, a decision was made to dock up. This was done because the station was already secured, its shields raised enough to reset the reinforcement timer.
With Providence Bloc disengaging, [NC] forces extracted from the system. Putting an end to the fighting.
Battle report for the 9UY4-H system can be found here.
All told the 9UY4-H system hosted nearly 300 pilots at the peak of the fighting, with Time Dilation not reported as a factor. The fighting itself lasted approximately 20 minutes.
Providence Bloc lost the majority of the ships, 52 versus [NC]'s 6. The damage disparity is smaller though, Providence Bloc receiving only 7 Bil ISK worth compared to [NC]'s 3 Bil ISK.
Though Providence Bloc lost the battle, it won the strategic objective, forcing [NC] to reinforce the station once more, having their staging tower reinforced and even managing to uncover and dispose of a spy.
As for [NC], it may have gotten the fight it wished for, but not the outcome, as sources report much frustration within the alliance, especially due to some of the poor form shown, especially against what many consider an inferior opponent.
After the events of the battle, [NC] reinforced the Y-MPWL station once more and incapacitated the jump bridge in the system as well.
As the conflict continues to rage, it seems from a spectator's viewpoint that the [NC] war machine has been losing steam lately. Only the coming days will tell whether the conflict has run its course, or if it was merely the quiet gathering before the storm.

News: Massive Fleet Fight in 9UY4-H
9UY4-H system, Providence region. On the 9th of May, 21:00 EVE Standard Time, Pandemic Legion, Northern Coalition(dot) [NC], Spectre Fleet and Providence Bloc clashed in the system in an enormous fight that saw no less than 1,000 pilots battle each other.
[NC] brought a Proteus Strategic Cruiser fleet, 130 pilots strong with Triage Archon Carrier support.
Pandemic Legion brought a Proteus Strategic Cruiser fleet as well, 160 pilots strong, with Pandemic Horde [REKTD] also being present in a Maller Cruiser fleet, 60 pilots big, but operating autonomously from its parent alliance.
In a running theme of the battle, Providence Bloc fielded a Proteus Strategic Cruiser fleet of their own, 160 pilots strong, with a Goku Bomber fleet, 70 pilots large, and a support Naga Battlecruiser fleet, 30 pilots in total. All in all, Providence Bloc fielded close to 270 pilots.
Last but not least was Spectre Fleet, who brought a full Battleship fleet, nearly 250 pilots, most notably in Tempest Fleet Issue. It also had Triage Archon Carriers and Dreadnoughts on standby, for future escalation.
Providence Bloc formed to protect the Infrastructure Hub in the G-5EN2 system and repair it. However, they soon found out that [NC] bridged their fleet behind them, hoping to cut Providence Bloc's route of retreat, sitting in the 9UY4-H system, which serves as the major crossroad of the region.
Help came in the form of Spectre Fleet and [REKTD], who promised to aid Providence Bloc against [NC]. This was important for Providence Bloc as reports of a large Pandemic Legion Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet spotted in the Catch region were received at the same time.
Thus, Spectre Fleet and [REKTD] engaged the [NC] fleet on the 4B-NQN gate, where Providence Bloc were waiting on the other side. As the two sides tangled, bringing Triage Archons and exchanging blows, Providence Bloc jumped in and started brawling with the [NC] fleet.
At this point, Pandemic Legion, who returned from their escapades in Wormhole space, re-shipped into their Proteus Strategic Cruisers and bridged to a perch above the gate. Once they loaded grid, Pandemic Legion's forces warped on top of the Providence Bloc fleet, choosing to focus on them.
Ships were volleyed off, as Time Dilation kicked into high gear, and even noticeable lag was felt. As Providence Bloc were losing ships at an alarming rate, they attempted to de-aggress and jump back to the 4B-NQN system.
However, they soon discovered Pandemic Legion's Interdictors were waiting for them, launching interdiction probes and trapping most of the fleet on the 9UY4-H gate, as the Pandemic Legion fleet waited its aggression timers and jumped in after them, continuing the fight between the two.
Providence Bloc attempted to fight as best as it could, but it soon became clear that they were losing. To minimize their losses, the fleet warped to the station and docked up, leaving behind many Proteus and Legions who were tackled by Pandemic Legion and promptly destroyed.
Battle report for 4B-NQN can be found here.
With Providence Bloc dealt with, Pandemic Legion came back to the 9UY4-H system in order to tackle the Spectre Fleet head on. However, while Providence Bloc and Pandemic Legion were having their own engagement in 4B-NQN, Spectre Fleet and [NC] disengaged, Spectre Fleet retreating to the D61A-G system, on the Y-MPWL gate, while [NC] seemed to have extracted form the region.
Battle report for 9UY4-H can be found here.
Pandemic Legion entered the D61A-G system and decided to commit to the fight, warping to the gate and hitting the edge of the deployed Interdiction field. Thus, the fight started in earnest, with Pandemic Legion anchoring up and going into the thick of the Battleships.
The fight was not a one sided affair but a bloody struggle, with both sides volleying ships off. Spectre Fleet had no less than 4 Triage Archons present, while Pandemic Legion had to be content with their Tech II Logistics.
As the battle dragged on, Pandemic Legion lit a cynosural beacon and ushered in its own Triage Archon. In retaliation, Spectre Fleet brought in 4 Dreadnoughts, who promptly targeted the lone Triage Archon, but by the time they brought it down, many of the Battleships were destroyed, making it impossible for the Spectre Fleet to break the Strategic Cruisers' tank.
Realizing their situation, the Spectre Fleet made a dash for the safety of Empire, jumping into the Y-MPWL system and running to the kari gate, with Pandemic Legion in hot pursuit. Several more Battleships and 2 Dreadnoughts were caught, while the remainder managed to escape.
Battle report for the D61A-G system can be found here.
Pandemic Legion continued to camp the D61A-G gate for a while, before extracting from the region, with no resistance whatsoever and managing to score a few easy ganks on the way home.
Battle report for the Y-MPWL system can be found here.
This marked the end of hostilities for the region.
The main battle saw 1,000 pilots in the 9UY4-H system, with Time Dilation peaking at 10% and lag reported by many pilots. The other engagements saw less than 400 pilots in local, with Time Dilation at more manageable levels. From the start of the fight to the end of hostilities, nearly an hour elapsed.
The butcher's bill is on a grand scale, considering everything. Spectre Fleet bore the brunt of the losses, 128 ships lost, including 2 Dreadnoughts, for a total of 39 Bil ISK of damages. Close second is Providence Bloc, who lost approximately 117 ships, for a total of 24 Bil ISK in damages. Third place was Pandemic Legion, with 27 ships lost, including 1 Triage Carrier, totaling at 14 Bil ISK damages. [NC] for their part, only lost 9 ships, mounting to 3.5 Bil ISK damages.
All told, this battle is further proof that regardless of Phoebe restrictions, huge scale battles are still fought throughout New Eden, and the devastation they leave in their wake, is still something to be awed by.

Providence Fight Club: 9UY4-H 21.3.2015
9UY4-H system, Providence region. On the night of the 21st of March, 3 fleets clashed violently in the system, leading to a prolonged battle which saw Providence Bloc's defeat at the hands of the NPSI community. The battle started when a combined force of Spectre Fleet and RvB Ganked, some 190 pilots strong entered Providence region in 2 fleets. The first was a Heavy Interdictor fleet with robust Logistics wing and Triage Carrier support, some 115 pilots strong, while the second fleet was mainly Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruisers and Vexor Navy Issue Cruisers fleet, encompassing the rest of the pilots
The NPSI Fleet Anchoring Before the Battle
The force made its way down the pipe from the Assah system, Derelik region, when it ran head first to a Providence Bloc Apocalypse Navy Issue Battleship fleet, some 80 pilots strong, which sat on the 4B-NQN gate at zero. The NPSI fleets immediately anchored up and engaged Providence Bloc.
The fighting was fierce, with the NPSI fleet targeting Providence Bloc's Logistics wing, while the latter was focusing damage on mainline ships. The exchange saw both forces lose ships, when at last Providence Bloc brought in Triage Carriers to supplement their Logistics wing. At this point the NPSI fleet was unable to break the tank of the mainline ships and was forced to call Triage Carriers of its own.
The two forces continued to brawl, but with so many Triage Carriers on field, no side was able to break the tank of the other. Instead, the NPSI fleet decided to focus fire on the Triage Carriers themselves. When the first one was destroyed, the rest of the Carriers were forced to exit their Triage mode in order to catch remote repairs and tank the incoming damage, managing to survive.
However, this proved to be fatal for the rest of the Providence Bloc fleet. Without the power of the Triage Carriers' remote repairs, the Navy Issue Apocalypses were destroyed one after the other.
With their damage dwindling and their losses mounting, Providence Bloc decided to concede the field, with its Battleships using their Micro Jump Drives to create distance before warping off. However, this left the Triage Carriers behind. Two of them were unable to jump out and were destroyed by the NPSI fleet.
The 9UY4-H Fight from the Perspective of Providence Bloc (Provided by Mangraa Dementia)
At this point, the NPSI fleet evacuated its own Triage Carriers, as reports came of a Pandemic Legion fleet closing in on their location. The Pandemic Legion fleet was around 70 pilots strong, mainly in Proteus Strategic Cruisers. It arrived into system just as the last NPSI Carrier managed to jump out of system.
The 9UY4-H Fight from the Perspective of the NPSI Fleet's Triage Carrier
With the Carriers safely extracted, the NPSI fleet decided to retreat to the 4B-NQN system, and re-organize on the other side, resolved to keep on fighting, but in a more favorable position. Pandemic Legion pursued it, after nabbing stragglers in the 9UY4-H system, and jumped into the 4B-NQN system. An intense battle soon erupted on the 9UY4-H gate between the two fleets.
Yet, this engagement proved to be a short and one sided affair. The NPSI fleet tried to concentrate fire on the Logistics wing of Pandemic Legion, managing to destroy two of them before remote repairs could hold. At this point Pandemic Legion had their own Triage Carrier on the field, and were quickly decimating the remnants of the Heavy Interdictor fleet, whose Logistics wing was half spent from its previous battle.
The Ishtar fleet, which was anchored further away from the main fighting, decided to disengage and withdraw, exiting the region to the marginal safety of Low Security space without incurring further losses.
With the Heavy Interdictor fleet destroyed, and no more hostiles to challenge it, the Pandemic Legion fleet made its way home, safely extracting its own Triage Carrier and arriving safely to its staging system without any more losses.
Battle report for the 9UY4-H system can be found here.
Battle report for the 4B-NQN system can be found here.
Time Dilation proved to be a factor in the fighting, peaking at 60% and remaining around that region for a part of the fight. The system did not host more than 300 pilots at the peak of fighting. The battle on its two parts lasted 1 hour in total.
Providence Bloc lost 56 ships, including 3 Archon Carriers for a total sum of 17 Bil ISK damages. The NPSI fleet lost 38 ships in the first engagement, for 7 Bil ISK damages, and 26 ships and 8 Bil ISK damages in the second. Pandemic Legion lost only 3 ships, for a total ISK damage of half a Bil.
All told, the battle proved to be a fascinating game of rock-paper-scissors, as the NPSI fleet managed to destroy the Providence Bloc fleet, only in turn being destroyed by the Pandemic Legion fleet.
Regardless, this fight continues to prove that the Providence region is still one of the most violent, and active regions in Null Security space.

Providence Fight Club: 9UY4-H 20.7.2014
9UY4-H system, Providence region. On the 20th of July, Providence Bloc forces successfully engaged two fleets in the system, resulting in more than a hundred and fifty destroyed ships, and twenty billion ISK in damages, including two Carrier class Capital ships.
The first engagement was fought between a hundred strong Providence Bloc Battlecruiser class ship fleet and a wormhole dwellers coalition fleet, numbering seventy pilots, mostly in Gila class Cruisers and Rattlesnake class Battleships. The force was reported in the I9B-8X constellation, more commonly referred to as the Shintaht Pocket by local residents.
Providence Bloc forces quickly raced to the 9UY4-H system in order to intercept the hostile force on the H6-CX8 gate, which is the only entrance way into Providence proper from that part of space. This battle proved disastrous for Providence Bloc, as the enemy force quickly dispatched the lead Fleet Commander, as well as most of the Logistic class Cruisers, while jumping in two Chimera class Carriers in order to supplement its own logistics need before Providence Bloc could online their Mobile Cynosural Inhibitor. Suffering mounting casualties and unable to break the tank of the enemy's ships, Providence Bloc forces beat a hasty retreat in order to re-form.
The summary of the battle can be found here.
This time a longer form time was given, with Providence Bloc switching from Battlecruiser class ships to Battleships, specifically fitted with Energy Neutralizers. Care was taken to beef up the number of Logistic class Cruisers as well as overall fleet numbers, reaching more than a hundred and sixty pilots. While there was some concern that the hostile force would leave Providence region without a second engagement, thankfully, a pilot error in the hostile fleet caused the two Chimera class Carriers to remain stranded in the 9UY4-H system, still in their position on the H6-CX8 gate, forcing the enemy fleet to remain in the vicinity.
A second engagement quickly flared up, as Providence Bloc forces bridged into the system and tackled the two Chimeras. The hostile fleet quickly responded, jumping into the Providence Bloc force in order to save its Capital ships. However, Providence Bloc counter dropped the enemy fleet, lighting a cynosural beacon and jumping four Dreadnaughts and two Carrier class Capital ships, which concentrated their fire on the enemy Capitals. With their logistics backbone quickly dispatched, The enemy's Fleet Commander made the only available choice in that situation and called for a full retreat. Regardless, Providence Bloc forces managed to decimate a third of the hostile fleet before it could escape, netting fourteen billion ISK in damages while suffering only minor damage themselves.
The fixed battle report can be found here.
The summary of the battle can be found here.
During the second fight, the system saw more than two hundred and thirty-four pilots in local, with Time Dilation kicking in and reaching sixty-five percent at the height of the battle.
While this could have served as a good end for the night's hostilities, a second hostile fleet, belonging to RvB was reported in the Providence region, prompting Providence Bloc forces to re-ship a second time, switching to a Rupture class Cruiser fleet, a hundred and twenty-nine strong, against RvB's sixty-nine Harpy class Assault Frigate fleet. Providence Bloc forces were already present in the H6-CX8 system, with RvB forces moving through ZQ-Z3Y system in the Catch region and jumping into the 9UY4-H system. As the hostile force landed on the H6-CX8 gate, a quick decision was made by Providence Bloc forces to jump into the 9UY4-H system, fearing the RvB fleet would decide to retreat rather than jump into the H6-CX8 system, where it will be at a great disadvantage.
Thus, for the third time that night, the H6-CX8 gate in the 9UY4-H system bore witness to a large brawl, with Providence Bloc forces engaging the RvB fleet and destroying it almost to the last ship, though taking minor casualties as well.
The fixed battle report can be found here.
With this engagement won as well, Providence Bloc forces returned to their staging system and stood down, marking it the last large engagement in the Providence region for the day.
