News: Providence Bloc and Fidelas Constans Clash with Northern Coalition(dot) in G-5EN2

G-5EN2 system, Providence region. On the 13th of June, at 19:30 EVE Standard Time, forces belonging to Fidelas Constans [FCON] and Providence Bloc met Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] in the system for a costly brawl that saw the destruction of many ships.

The brawl began when [NC] forces deployed Sovereignty Blockade Units in the 9-F0B2 system, prompting Providence Bloc to form in order to take them down. Providence Bloc formed what has recently became its signature doctrine, a 130 pilot Naga Battlecruiser fleet.

[NC] forces for their part had a 100 pilot Loki Strategic Cruiser fleet, with Triage Archon Carriers in reserve.

However, before the two forces could meet in the system, a [FCON] Drake Battlecruiser fleet, estimated at 90 pilots, with a Triage Nidhoggur Carrier in reserve, appeared in the G-5EN2 system. The force held on the Assah gate in the system.

The [NC] Fleet Commander decided to tackle the [FCON] first rather than wait for Providence Bloc to show up, a situation that may box up the [NC] fleet and potentially decimate it. Thus the [NC] fleet warped to the Assah gate, engaging the [FCON] head on.

A bloody brawl developed, as Lokis and Drakes were volleyed off, the fighting fierce and unforgiving as the two forces collided in a close range carnage. This forced both sides to bring in their reserve Triage Carriers. With the addition of 2 more Triage Archons, bringing the total Triage support for [NC] to 3, the [NC] fleet managed to stabilize.

With the [NC] fleet able to tank the incoming damage, a decision was made to bring in a Titan and remove the enemy Triage, while continuing to mop up the rest of the [FCON] forces. Yet at this point a cynosural beacon was lit close to the [NC] force and Providence Bloc bridged in their fleet to the fight.

With the amazing damage output of 90 tier 3 Battlecruisers on the field, Lokis were once more volleyed. [FCON] was not idle either, and re-shipped to Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruisers, returning to the field and adding its pressure on the [NC] fleet.

being able to volley off Lokis, Providence Bloc and [FCON] decided to switch their focus to the Triage Carriers, who one by one, succumbed to the damage output and were destroyed to the last. At the same time though, the [NC] Lokis were able to destroy many Ishtars and Nagas in return. And yet, with their Triage support decimated, the [NC] force had choice but to de-aggress and jump back to Low Security space, abandoning the field.

The G-5EN2 Fight from [NC]'s Loki PoV

This allowed Providence Bloc to return to the 9-F0B2 system and remove the hostile Sovereignty Blockade Units, [FCON] following suit and helping in the process. With 2 of the Sovereignty Blockade Units down, the system was secured, yet the fighting was far from over.

[NC] returned to the field, bridging to the G-5EN2 system on the 9-F0B2 gate a Tempest Fleet Issue Battleship fleet, 87 pilots with no Triage Carrier support. Providence Bloc and [FCON] positioned themselves on the other side, waiting for [NC] to jump into them.

Finally, the [NC] fleet jumped in and a quick brutal skirmish developed on the G-5EN2 gate in the system. At first, the combined [FCON] and Providence Bloc damage output managed to destroy several Battleships, but as the [NC] Logistics team pulled together, the damage lessened, and the fleet managed to tank the incoming fire, which dwindled as Providence Bloc lost more and more Battlecruisers, and in the end was forced to retreat.

[FCON] attempted to fight a bit longer, trying to kite outside the range of the Battleships, but after a few bruising losses decided to retreat as well, leaving the field to [NC]. Having gotten the fight they were looking for, [NC] forces extracted safely, ending large scale hostilities in the region.

Battle report for the G-5EN2 and 9-F0B2 systems can be found here.

All told the systems saw less than 400 pilots in local, with Time Dilation not reported as an issue in the fighting. From start to finish, the battle with its various parts lasted 90 minutes in total.

Providence Bloc lost 82 ships for 8.4 Bil ISK damage, [FCON] suffering 94 losses, including 1 Carrier, for 11.2 Bil ISK damage while [NC] lost 54 ships, 3 of which were Triage Carriers, for a whooping 25.6 Bil ISK.

Providence Bloc managed to secure the main objective of protecting their sovereignty of 9-F0B2, while [NC] was able to get the fight it wanted, as its Fleet Commander stated that even if Providence Bloc had failed to remove the Sovereignty Blockade Units, [NC] would not have attempted to contest the system. As for [FCON], they managed once more to successfully third party a fight.

The EVE Scribe will keep you posted on further developments in the region.

News: Providence Bloc Suffers Defeat in 9-F0B2

9-F0B2 system, Providence region. On the 2nd of June 20:00 EVE Standard Time, Providence Bloc and Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] met in battle in the system, in a fight that saw Providence Bloc soundly defeated.

[NC] had once again deployed Sovereignty Blockade Units in the G-5EN2 system, prompting Providence Bloc to form up and remove them. Providence Bloc for its part attempted at first to remove the Sovereignty Blockade Units with Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruisers, but [NC] had organized a fleet of 130 pilots, in Loki Strategic Cruisers. The [NC] fleet bridged to G-5EN2, forcing Providence Bloc to retreat and re-organize.

Providence Bloc decided to bring a Naga Battlecruiser fleet, as it proved effective in previous engagements versus [NC]. 170 pilots quickly departed Providence Bloc's staging system en route to engage the [NC] fleet and bring down the Sovereignty Blockade Units.

Fidelas Constans [FCON] which had recently deployed to the region as part of the promised Imperium campaign, caught wind of what was happening and formed an Ishtar fleet, approximately 50 pilots large. The force made way to the system as well, hoping to take part in the fighting.

As Providence Bloc made its way to G-5EN2, it became apparent that [NC] were waiting for them on their in-gate in the 9-F0B2 system, sitting comfortably on the 4B-NQN gate. Providence Bloc stopped its march and sat on the 9-F0B2 gate in the 4B-NQN system, both parties unwilling to jump into each other.

The stalemate continued for nearly half an hour, when [NC] brought a Stealth Bomber force and bridged it into the 4B-NQN system. The force set to bomb the Providence Bloc fleet on the 9-F0B2 gate and thus, hopefully, force it to jump into the awaiting Loki fleet. This did not turn out well, as the Providence Bloc fleet constantly switched gates, thus rendering the entire attempt moot.

And yet, disaster struck when Providence Bloc re-positioned on the 9-F0B2 gate. Giving the order for support ships to jump into the system and join the fleet, several pilots misunderstood the command and jumped into 9-F0B2. Deciding not to abandon them, the Providence Bloc Fleet Commander had the fleet jump after them, knowing full well that it meant certain death.

With Providence Bloc jumping into the [NC] fleet, the battle commenced on the 4B-NQN gate. Providence Bloc ships tried to burn away from the Lokis, but many found themselves webbed down. One after another the Battlecruisers popped under the immense damage projected by the Lokis. They could not warp out either as the [NC] Interdictors did a great job of deploying interdiction probes in the midst of the Providence Bloc fleet, preventing its escape.

At this point though, the [FCON] fleet arrived on grid. After studying the situation for a short time, it chose to attack the [NC] force, warping to it at range and dropping drones. Providence Bloc forces managed to regroup as well, and added their firepower to the mix.

Even with two different fleets hammering at them, the [NC] Logistics managed to keep their fleet mostly intact, losing only a few ships to [FCON]'s Ishtars. As the battle continued, [NC]'s fleet perched up and warped on top of the Providence Bloc Battlecruisers, who managed to anchor away from the gate. Quickly, interdiction fields and probes went up and Battlecruisers were annihilated, forcing survivors to flee to the safety of the station present in the system.

Once Providence Bloc's fleet left the grid, [NC] turned its attention to the [FCON] fleet. [NC] warped on top of the [FCON] fleet, who chose to withdraw as well, losing a few ships in the process.

With no more targets present, [NC] extracted from the system, choosing not to reinforce the G-5EN2 system, as it achieved the goal of a fight. Thus ended the hostilities between the two sides for the night.

Battle report for the 9-F0B2 system can be found here.

Local saw nearly 400 pilots in the system at the peak of the fighting, with Time Dilation not reported to be a major issue. All told the actual battle lasted approximately 20 minutes.

Providence Bloc lost 111 ships during the fight, 95 of which were Battlecruisers, for a total sum of 11.8 Bil ISK damage. [FCON] lost 14 ships only, for a total of 2.5 Bil ISK. [NC] suffered minor losses, only 11 ships, though for a total of 4.2 Bil ISK damages.

The battle cannot be called anything but a one sided massacre for Providence Bloc. Though it was commendable of the Providence Bloc Fleet Commander to jump the fleet in and attempt to save the pilots, or at least die with them, showing comradeship, it still resulted in an unnecessary loss of an entire fleet.

It can also be called noble of the [NC] Fleet Commander to decide not to reinforce the G-5EN2 system after being granted a fight, if one does not consider the fact he forced Providence Bloc's hand to begin with by threatening its sovereignty.

As the clock slowly ticks down to the deployment of the sovereignty mechanic changes, with some features already implemented, one can wonder how long will [NC] be able to continue this mock war? The EVE Scribe will keep you updated.

News: Heavy Fighting in G-5EN2 Leads to Costly Victories for Providence Bloc

9-F0B2 system, Providence region. On the 29th of May, at 20:00 EVE Standard time, Providence Bloc clashed with Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] and Pandemic Legion [-10.0] in the system, resulting in a sound defeat on the battlefield, but at the same time, a strategic victory in the region.

A few days before, [NC] reinforced both the Infrastructure Hub and the Station in the G-5EN2 system. However, the first timer on the 28th of May went unchallenged, with Providence Bloc removing the Sovereignty Blockade Units and repairing the Infrastructure Hub. [NC] deployed more Sovereignty Blockade Units, resulting in some skirmishing, but for the most part no heavy fighting took place. However, as the shield reinforcement timer for the G-5EN2 Station came up on the 29th, both Providence Bloc and [NC] geared for a fight.

Providence Bloc brought a Nightmare Battleship fleet with a Stealth Bomber wing, 190 pilots strong. The force made it to the system first, and as the reinforcement timer expired was busy repairing the station.

[NC] brought a 110 pilot Proteus Strategic Cruiser fleet, and bounced around the G-5EN2 system, seemingly unwilling to engage Providence Bloc's fleet on the station, as it was within docking range.

[-10.0] was also aware of the timer, and brought a 130 pilots strong Proteus fleet of their own, and set up in the Irshah system in the Derelik region, where it waited patiently for hostilities to commence.

However, as Providence Bloc declined to fight and was busy repairing the damage to the station, a decision was made to lure Providence Bloc into a fight. The [NC] force jumped out of G-5EN2 while the [-10.0] force kept holding position in Irshah. With the station back to full shields and what seemed like an opening, Providence Bloc forces hurried to the 9-F0B2 gate, attempting to extract to their staging system.

However, due to the size of the system and the warp speed of the Battleships, [-10.0] was able to bridge in front of the Battleship force, into their destination system in fact of 9-F0B2. As the Battleships slowly cleared traffic control and entered the system, they were greeted by the [-10.0] fleet perched on the G-5EN2 gate, which warped on top of them, starting the fight.

The battle did not go smoothly though, as [-10.0] lost a few ships to the combined damage output of the Battleships. However, as the fight went on and a Triage Carrier brought in, as well as the [NC] force joining the fray, the tide decidedly went against Providence Bloc. It was losing ships one after the other, its Logistics, for the most part, unable to shield transfer fast enough to keep them alive.

After a few minutes of a rather one sided battle, as more Nightmares and Battleships popped, Providence Bloc managed to free enough Battleships and warp them off the field, abandoning its Logistic wing which was massacred nearly to the last, before docking up in the system's station.

With no more hostiles left on the grid, [NC] and [-10.0] safely extracted from the system, bringing an end to the fighting.

Battle report for the 9-F0B2 system can be found here.

During the peak of the fighting the system saw nearly 500 pilots, with Time Dilation being noticeable and a factor in it. All told the battle lasted close to 20 minutes.

Providence Bloc received the brunt of the losses, 76 ships for a total of 20 Bil ISK damage. [-10.0] and [NC] suffered some losses, 27 ships for nearly 5 Bil ISK damage, most of which were Interdictors and Interceptors.

Though Providence Bloc suffered a tactical defeat, it managed to win the strategic objective, securing the system and station. [NC] for their part seemed unwilling to engage Providence Bloc on their own, giving further evidence to the power showed by the coalition.

With the Imperium slowly deploying to the Providence region, the fighting is expected to intensify. What will happen as the Fozzie Sov changes loom over the horizon? The EVE Scribe will keep you posted.

Providence Fight Club: 9-F0B2 8.5.2015

9-F0B2 system, Providence region. On the 8th of May, at 18:40 EVE Standard Time, forces belonging to Providence Bloc and StainWagon Coalition clashed in the system, in an honor brawl.

Providence Bloc brought a 159 pilot strong Proteus\Legion Strategic Cruiser fleet, while StaingWagon Coalition brought a 119 pilot large Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet. Both fleets arrived at the G-5EN2 system, in order to repel an imminent Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] attack on the station, which was coming out of armor reinforcement mode.

To their surprise, [NC] did not show up, instead taking down the Sovereignty Blockade Units some time earlier, allowing the station to safely exit reinforced mode. With the station no longer in danger and no enemy fleet to fight, the two entities decided to hold instead a honor brawl.

However, the presence of [NC] Stealth Bombers in the G-5EN2 system caused the two sides to relocate to the neighboring 9-F0B2 system. StainWagon Coalition was allowed to go in first, situating themselves off the G-5EN2 gate, when Providence Bloc forces jumped into them and anchored up, starting the fight.

The brawl saw a quick fire exchange, with Providence Bloc losing Logistics ships and StainWagon losing a few mainline ships, as the two sides anchored up. After a while, the StainWagon Ishtars managed to kite out of the effective range of the Providence Bloc Strategic Cruisers, negating much of the damage. Providence Bloc for its part kept losing Logistics ships.

Thus, after a few minutes, the call was made for Providence Bloc ships to de-aggress and warp to the station and dock up, effectively finishing the fight.

With the fight over, StainWagon Coalition made its way home, safely extracting from the region.

Battle report for the 9-F0B2 system can be found here.
Alternate report can be found here.

During the fighting the system hosted 325 pilots, with Time Dilation being noticeable, reaching upwards of 60 and even 40%. The fight itself lasted merely 10 minutes.

Providence Bloc lost 38 ships, for a total of 5 Bil ISK. StainWagon Coalition lost 15 ships, for a total of 1 Bil ISK.

News: Conlict Pours Into The 9-F0B2 System

9-F0B2 system, Providence region. On 2nd of May, 21:00 EVE Standard Time, Providence Bloc and Northern Coalition(dot) [NC] clashed again over Sovereignty Blockade Units in the system, in a continuation of hostilities between the two factions.

[NC] brought 80 pilots in a Tengu Strategic Cruiser fleet, who promptly sat on the 9-F0B2 gate in the neighboring G-5EN2 system, waiting for Providence Bloc to form and engage them.

Providence Bloc, for its part, brought more than 200 pilots, divided into a main Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet, around a 130 pilots strong, supported by a Goku wing and a regular Stealth Bomber wing.

Providence Bloc forces bridged into the 9-F0B2 system, in order to avoid possible confrontation with [NC] on route, and situated themselves on the G-5EN2 gate, deploying a Mobile Cyno Inhibitor and targeting the [NC] Sovereignty Blockade Unit. Once [NC] saw Providence Bloc had no intention of jumping into them, they took the imitative and jumped into the system, thus starting the fight.

A short battle ensued, with Providence Bloc and [NC] exchanging blows, [NC] targeting the Goku bombers, while Providence Bloc went straight for the Tengus. As the battle raged, Providence Bloc bombers made their impact, dropping round after round of Void bombs, effectively destroying the capacitor of the Tengus and their Logistics, enabling Providence Bloc to easily overpower the [NC] fleet.

This forced [NC] to retreat temporarily, allowing Providence Bloc to once again focus on the Sovereignty Blockade Unit. However, after a while [NC] returned to the field, and the battle resumed in earnest.

Just as before, the fight saw an exchange of bombers for Tengus, as more waves of Void bombs kept the [NC] disorganized, unable to maintain their tank or activate shield transfers in time. Once more, [NC] was forced off the field.

This proved to be the last attempt at a fight, as shortly after, [NC] forces attempted to leave the system back to Low Security space, with Providence Bloc hot on their heels. Once [NC] had left the system, Providence Bloc finished removing the hostile Sovereignty Blockade Units, thus securing the system once more before returning to their staging system.

Battle report for the 9-F0B2 system can be found here.

The system saw more than 340 pilots at the peak of the fighting, with Time Dilation being a constant factor, reaching around 60% and slowly going down as time went by. The fight itself lasted only 15 minutes.

Providence Bloc lost 30 ships, the vast majority Stealth Bombers, for 1.5 Bil ISK damages. [NC] lost 19 ships, for a total of 6 Bil ISK of damages.

Rumors abound over [NC] Fleet Commander's response over the usage of Stealth Bombers, threatening to use Carrier fleets in the future. However, while [NC] views this war as a fun excursion, for Providence Bloc, its a fight for their home, and all means are legitimate when protecting it.

As one Providence Bloc Fleet Commander commented "Let him bring his Carriers, I will bring 200 bombers in response".

Clearly, things are heating up in the Providence region, for better and for worse.

Providence Fight Club: 9-F0B2 20.11.2014

9-F0B2 system, Providence region. On the 20th of November, Providence Bloc clashed head on with Spectre Fleet in a fight that saw more than a hundred ships destroyed, including an Archon Carrier.

The fight began when Providence Bloc and Spectre Fleet each formed for their respective scheduled operations. Providence Bloc had an eighty pilots Phantasm Cruiser fleet, while Spectre Fleet gathered a seventy pilots Gnosis Battlecruiser gang, with a triage Archon on standby.

Spectre Fleet was the first to be ready, and as its habit, traveled down to Providence to pick a fight. Coming from the Mendori system, it entered the Providence region through the Assah system.

WAFFLES(dot) [N0MAD] had information on the fleet's movements and decided to shadow it, forming a twenty pilots Vexor Cruiser gang in turn. [N0MAD]'s fleet maintained a distance of a system between it and Spectre Fleet, attempting to keep up and waiting for a possible clash between it and another fleet.

Providence Bloc, it seems, decided to oblige [N0MAD]'s espectations, as it was given information of the Spectre Fleet's existence when it entered the G-5EN2 system. Quickly, Providence Bloc moved its fleet in order to intercept the incoming hostiles.

However, the three fleets became aware of each other as Spectre Fleet arrived to the 4B-NQN gate in the 9-F0B2 system, learning of the awaiting Providence Bloc fleet in front of it, and the [N0MAD] gang sitting at its back.

For a while, all three fleets stood immobile, Spectre Fleet pulling range off the 4B-NQN gate, Providence Bloc doing the same for the 9-F0B2 Gate in the 4B-NQN system, and [N0MAD] waiting on the 9-F0B2 gate in the G-5EN2 system.

In the end, Spectre Fleet broke the stalemate first by warping to the top belt in the 9-F0B2 system, being Planet II Belt 1, at range, with Providence Bloc jumping in and immediately giving pursuit, warping to it and landing twenty kilometers from the Spectre Fleet force. With both parties on grid, an all out battle quickly erupted, as the two fleets slugged it out in close range.

A view from one of the Spectre Fleet members, showing the savagery of the battle

At this point, the [N0MAD] fleet jumped into the system and skirted around the battlefield, picking targets of opportunity. The two major forces meanwhile kept volleying Phantasms and Gnosis' alike, exchanging ship for ship. As mainline ships were destroyed, Providence Bloc's Logistics wing, which was far better equipped, managed to finally withstand the assault and stabilize the fleet's ships. This left Spectre Fleet's forces at a huge disadvantage, as they kept hemorrhaging ships, unable to sustain the damage.

A call was quickly made to lit a Cynosural beacon and land the triage Archon on field. With the Archon joining the decimated Logistics wing of Spectre Fleet, the loss of mainline ships finally stopped. Yet by now, most of Spectre Fleet's force was in tatters, lacking the necessary damage output to break the tank of the Providence Bloc fleet. Furthermore, Providence Bloc had a continuous string of re-ships and reinforcements, which did not help the Spectre Fleet situation at all.

Saved by the Nick of Time: The difference created by the triage Archon for the Spectre Fleet

The only choices left for Spectre Fleet at this point, were to either attempt a withdrawal, or stay and be destroyed to the last. Choosing the former, an attempt was made to allow the Carrier to escape, destroying the tackle and Interdictors that were present near it on the field. However, a lone Providence Bloc Sabre Interdictor managed to get on top of the Archon and launch its interdiction probes, sealing its fate.

With his fleet decimated and Providence Bloc's reinforcements continuing to arrive on field, the Spectre Fleet commander had no choice but to withdraw and leave the Carrier behind, extracting what remained of his fleet.

With the Carrier stranded in system, Providence Bloc managed to slowly but surely overcome its tank, and finally destroy it. At this point, [N0MAD]'s fleet decided to disengage as well, fearing that the Providence Bloc fleet would turn its attention to it now, as it was severely outnumbered and outgunned, choosing to retreat from the system while it still could.

The event ended with Providence Bloc claiming the field, as Spectre Fleet's remaining forces limped out of the system, and [N0MAD]'s gang hastily returning to its staging system, after sustaining only light damage.

In the end, Providence Bloc lost fifty ships, for a total of five billion ISK in damages, while Spectre Fleet's losses stand at sixty-three ships, and six billion ISK damages respectively. [N0MAD] lost only two ships, for approximately fifty million ISK in damages.

Battle report for the 9-F0B2 system can be found here.

All told the system hosted almost two hundred pilots at its peak, with Providence Bloc continuously re-shipping, and Time Dilation being a non-issue.

All Fleet Commanders agreed that 9-F0B2 was an enjoyable event, and hoped to see many more of its caliber in the future, as Providence Bloc continues to prove its importance as a major content generator in EVE Online
